This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the control you have over it — written to be read, not skimmed past.

Rove (“we”, “us”, “our”) builds a mobile app that helps you discover fashion deals. We try to collect as little personal information as possible, use it only to make Rove work for you, and never sell it. This policy describes how that works.

In one line

We use your preferences to personalise your feed and your email to tell you about Rove. We don't sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

01Who we are

Rove is the data controller for the information described in this policy. If you have any questions, you can reach us any time at privacy@joinroveapp.com.

02What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the waitlist, personalise your feed, and improve the app:

Waitlist email
If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you give us so we can notify you when Rove launches.
Preferences
In the app, the sizes, brands and categories you choose — plus the items you save, tap or skip — so we can rank deals for you.
Usage & analytics
Aggregated, largely anonymous information about how the app and site are used (for example, which features are popular), so we can fix problems and improve.
Device & technical data
Basic technical details such as device type, app version and approximate region, used for compatibility, security and analytics.

We do not process your payments. When you buy something, checkout happens on the retailer's own website, under their privacy practices — not ours.

03How we use your information

  • To personalise and rank the deals shown in your feed.
  • To send you the launch notification you signed up for, and service messages about your account or saved items.
  • To operate, maintain, secure and improve the Rove app and website.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how Rove is used so we can make it better.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We rely on your consent (for example, joining the waitlist) and our legitimate interest in providing and improving Rove as the bases for this processing, where such bases apply to you.

04How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited cases:

  • Service providers who help us run Rove (for example, hosting, email delivery and analytics), under agreements that limit them to that purpose.
  • Affiliate networks & retailers, to the extent needed to attribute a purchase you make through a Rove link (see section 5).
  • Legal & safety, where we are required to by law or to protect Rove, our users, or others.

05Affiliate tracking

Rove is built to integrate with established affiliate marketing networks and retail partners. When you tap a deal and visit a retailer, the network may use identifiers (such as cookies or link parameters) to recognise that the visit came from Rove and to credit a resulting purchase. This is how Rove earns a commission at no extra cost to you. For full details on how we earn, see our Affiliate Disclosure.

06How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above — for example, your waitlist email until launch and a reasonable period after, or until you ask us to remove it. Aggregated, anonymised data may be kept longer as it no longer identifies you.

07Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can:

  • Unsubscribe from the waitlist at any time using the link in our emails.
  • Email privacy@joinroveapp.com to make any of the requests above. We'll respond within the time required by applicable law.

08Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is ever completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to limit who can access it.

09Children

Rove is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

10Changes to this policy

As Rove grows we may update this policy. When we make material changes, we'll update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app or by email.
